Sherri grew up on a farm in Iowa with amazing parents who instilled in her a drive for excellence and the belief that “She” could be, do, and have anything she wanted.
Her career started in market research (moving to the “big city” of Chicago), transitioned to business management working in executive positions for large packaged food companies until moving to California in 1998 to start a Marketing department for one of the biggest produce companies on the Central Coast.
It is our good fortune that she traded corporate America for life as an entrepreneur! In the last 16 years, she has started and grown three service-based businesses, taking one to over 7 figures in just 4 years.
Today she supports women who have made the courageous decision to leave their successful professional job to start their own business.
“My mission is to be a catalyst to empower women to to turn their gifts into profitable, successful businesses that make a difference in the world. I absolutely love turning vision into reality and providing hands on step-by-step implementation guidance to these powerful women as they build their business.”
“I think my greatest strengths are persistence and curiosity. Business is about taking calculated risks…sometimes they pay off and sometimes they don’t. There is an old saying that success is falling 10 times and getting up 11, and I believe there is truth to that. I’ve never given up on something I’m committed to. I’ve failed, learned from my mistakes, adjusted my plans, and continued to move forward. Most people give up…sometimes right before they hit pay dirt!”
Apart from helping women succeed a cause close to her heart is a non-profit started by Laura Beth Messimer to support women who are suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or Military Sexual Trauma. This is such an under-served group and it’s a travesty that these women who served our country are not getting the support and treatment they need to treat the after-effects. Her message to all women is that, “Each one of you is a gift, and perfect, just as you are. Instead of living life trying to live up to the real or perceived expectations of others, why not get really clear on what YOU want for your life, and your business if you have one, and live that. It’s a whole lot easier to just be you and share your gift than it is to try to be something you’re not.”
